Alaskan Governor Sarah Palin is not only Senator McCain's vice-presidential running mate on the GOP ticket for the oval office, she is also just the tonic American politics needs to jumpstart a stalled interest in our national government. Thanks to Senator McCain, our country has a fresh and vital new catalyst to awaken people of all ages and walks of life to the importance of getting involved in what is going on in Washington, D.C. The office of Vice President of the United States has become largely an afterthought, only of importance if something unfortunate happens to the President.
